Two rounds, first zoom interview then campus visit. The campus visit would evolve both teaching demo and research talk. It would be quite challenging in the one day long campus interview.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Prescott, AZ) in May 2026
Interview
Very straightforward interview process. Faculty committee, then teaching demo/campus visit. Very friendly staff and faculty. Overall very pleasant experience, with lots of time built in to relieve stress, which helped a lot. Everyone was very forthcoming and seemed to really enjoy their time at work.

How would you handle students that aren’t engaged (on the phone, hesitant to answer questions, etc)
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach, FL) in May 2016
Interview
Very rushed and non professional. Not like most institutions. They don't seem to care much about academic credentials. Helps a lot to be former military or pilot. Most of the existing faculty have weak credentials, it is easy to impress them.
