They require you to do a TestGorilla assessment before even looking at your resume or otherwise establishing mutual interest. It's not a standard technical screen, more of a low-rent IQ test. Immediate red flag but the job market sucks right now. All of their communications appeared to be templated despite that all evidence suggests that they are a tiny operation with a handful of no-name non-technical midwest companies as clients.
After passing the screening I was asked to do a video call where they immediately admitted that the job ad was misleading with respect to the working conditions and were generally passive-agressive and unpleasant to interact with.
The whole process was very out of touch and disrespectful of my time.
