Interview
Initially applied and got an email from a recruiter asking for some dates/times for a phone screen. Over a week goes by and the recruiter reaches out saying that the message got lost in her inbox. That's cool, things happen. We set up a new date/time and right before that interview call, she reaches back saying something more critical came up on the same time as our interview and so we were to reschedule. Ok, I understand higher priorities, I guess. Come time to our official interview, she is 5 minutes late and offers no small apology for being late. The first 5 minutes was her giving an overview of Lever and I can tell she was reading off a screen or piece of paper based on her tone of voice. She even refers to a different role then what I applied for, and I quickly had to correct her of that. Come on, for a modern recruiting software company that aims to automate and deliver a great user experience, I didn't get a good sense of that. Do they even use their own product?
Get rejection letter the next day and I am totally cool with that. I do appreciate an actual response and not having to wait around for a next step or closure. Overall, did not get a good vibe of the company based on my interview experience and happily marching on.
I applied online. I interviewed at Employ (MA) in Sep 2025
Interview
At first there was tons of communication from recruiter and things were moving fast each round. I made it to the final round and did an hour long presentation. After more than one round I would expect more than an impersonal auto reply rejection email. Very disheartening and frustrating experience overall.
