After applying, I received an email quickly to schedule an introductory interview. We spoke about what the position was and the details such as start date, salary, etc. I was asked about my previous experience and how it related to this job. The next day, I was told I was moving forward to the next step — three back to back thirty minute interviews that included roleplays. It was important to implement feedback on the spot. I put a lot of effort and spent hours researching and preparing for the interview — I thought it went well, and everyone was courteous and very pleasant. I felt very comfortable and thought the interview went well. However, the next day after the triple threat interview, I was told I was not moving forward in the process. I responded thanking the recruiter for her and everyone else involved’s time and asked for feedback about my interview. Having done my homework on Lever, I am very well aware of a feedback system that they have built into their software. Everything up to this point was amazing, yet I am incredibly disappointed that as soon as I was deemed not a good fit, I was immediately dropped without any further communication after an email stating we would not be proceeding any further — it left a bad impression to me. Lever seems to pride itself on accommodating the people they’re interviewing and they do. After they decide you’re not a match for their company, however, it appears to be different story. I completely understand being busy, but a quick follow up of would have at least tied up any loose ends and been really genuinely appreciated. It’s ironic for a software company that offers solutions for cultivating candidate relationship management pipelines to not maintain said relationships on their own afterwards.
