I applied online. I interviewed at Empower in May 2023
Interview
The process was fast, but there were lots of issues with overlapping times and people showing up late. The very last interview felt rushed and the interviewers were 15 minutes late to the interview.
1 phone interview and 2 virtual interviews. Very easy questions, if you've had experience in sales. They are looking for a reason to say yes to hiring you, not a reason to say no.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They said they try to promote you into the senior role within 6 months and then you have to stay in that senior role for at least 1 year before you can move to another position. They asked if I would have a problem staying in the role for that long.
Phone/video interview with recruiter & then video interview with manager. Process relatively easy and straight forward. Standard interview process. Questions asked were general and not difficult. Work hours and pay were below expectations.

Interview
I have never felt compelled to write a review for an interview, but given my recent experience with Empower, I feel compelled to leave one so others can see. I scheduled an interview for a Friday morning and received email confirmation with a Zoom link. I took off work to prepare the morning before the interview, and when I joined the Zoom room, I ended up waiting for 20 minutes. No one showed up. I emailed the recruiter asking for an opportunity to reschedule, and got no response. A few days later, I got a rejection email stating that they had “decided to move forward with another candidate.” I have never experienced something so unprofessional. I am also perplexed as to how one can make the decision to pass on a candidate when they never even interviewed them. I can’t even rate the interview difficulty on here because no one showed up.

Question 1
If anyone showed up to my interview, I would know.
