The recruiter rushed through the initial call and ended it hastily. After a while of no communication, the recruiter reached back out to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. I then received an update that they'd like to consider me for a more junior position instead, redirecting me to another recruiter. The new recruiter was unaware of the previous touchpoints I've had, and hasn't responded since I inquired whether the salary range could be negotiated to be closer to what was listed for the initial position. Felt like a bait and switch, and talent team appeared unprofessional.
