First interview was about a half hour phone call. Second part of the process was doing a questionnaire that consisted of a few short responses and about a page long response. Then I had two more Zoom interviews with two separate interviewers. Every round of the interview they read a description of what they do and what the job entails (like actually every round) including information about pay and benefits which I thought was strange to hear during a first round phone call interview. Honestly it was a really long and drawn out process for the job that pays minimum wage and demands a lot from you. What was also weird was being told that the organization is actually financially stable and that they choose to pay their employees these wages because "they are offering such great experience". Based on the fact that there are few POC that work there and they exclusively recruit from top schools, EA is clearly focused on a white-washed version of environmentalism that disregards environmental justice concerns. Overall, not worth the process to be strung along for a job that barely pays and hasn't been that successful in achieving environmental progress and can't even recognize the very real environmental concerns for POC and poorer communities in America.
