There was an initial interview with the main hiring manager and then a panel interview of three other team members via zoom. The hiring manager was really rude during the interview and seemed uninterested and like he didn’t really want to be there. Chalked it up to him having a good poker face as I was invited to a second interview but the energy remained. Everyone else in the second interview was awesome and despite not getting an offer I enjoyed meeting them. They asked questions relevant to the job and tried to get to know me while the main hiring manager asked questions that didn’t have to do with the job description and did very little to communicate anything about the job’s duties to me. He just asked random things that came to mind and assessed random skills that weren’t listed in the job description. Didn’t seem like he planned at all. The team is very accomplished and I was really excited about learning more from everyone but the culture seemed off. The interviewer seemed mean. It seemed cliquey and didn’t seem like a fun place to work. At first I was interested in other positions within the company but that experience deterred me from the entire company as a whole. Just wouldn’t recommend.
