Oh, where do I start. After tentatively scheduling a face-to-face interview, HR decides to schedule a new interview...in an hour. After explaining that this is simply not possible, HR schedules a phone interview, and then I was stood up. After several phone calls to find out what happened, a face-to-face interview was scheduled, along with a “verification assignment” that looked suspiciously like an expectation to complete submit a detailed project plan for free. For the face-to-face, the office was hidden in the back of a strip mall next to the main facility and nearly impossible to find, the submitted contact phone number was incorrect, and the application URL was 404. I have dealt with a lot of interviews over my career where the company had apparently already decided to hire someone’s kid or college buddy, but this one was just spectacular in its ineptitude.
