I had the opportunity to interview for a power systems engineering position with ERCOT. The interview process involved four rounds, including a preliminary interview with the human resources team, two technical interviews with the chief office engineer and their team, and a final interview with the department manager. Throughout the process, the interviewers were cordial and displayed keen interest in my experience and skills. The interviews were focused on data processing, which was apt for my electrical engineering background. However, despite four rounds of interviews, I did not receive a definite response on whether I was hired or not. Despite requesting feedback, I never received any response. While the experience was overall positive, I was disappointed with the lack of follow-up and closure in the hiring process. It would have been preferable to receive feedback and a final notification on whether I was hired or not. Nevertheless, I still consider ERCOT a potential employer in the future due to their technical and courteous approach during the interviews.
