Absolute mess of a process. They’re supposedly building a new AI research center in Israel. I was contacted by an Israeli recruiter working for one of their subsidiaries about a role in this new department. I interviewed with two Italian data scientists, then heard nothing for three weeks. I called the recruiter to check my status—she said the feedback was very positive but that she still hadn’t been told the next steps. That was my first red flag about how disorganized things were. After five weeks, I was finally contacted for the next stage: an interview with a data science manager from India. The interview was very easy. When I asked him what would happen next, he said he had no idea—his job was just to submit feedback into their system, and HR would take it from there. But when I spoke with HR, they claimed he was the one responsible for updating me. I didn’t want to get stuck in a ping-pong game of “ask them, not me,” so I waited to see how things would play out. A month and a half passed—nothing. In that time, I received two offers from other companies and signed with one of them. The difference in organization and professionalism was night and day. If their hiring process is this messy and internal communication is this poor, I can only imagine what working there would be like. From my experience, it’s better to focus on other opportunities. These guys don’t know their head from their feet—don’t waste your time.
