Received an unsolicited email immediately followed by a phone call from a recruiter who wanted to know if either I or someone in my sphere of influence were willing to pursue a position at a large, billion dollars a year Fortune 500 company for a job whose description read as someone in a senior role ... for $30 an hour. When I engaged the recruiter in a conversation, I asked how such a position and company didn't really align with what would turn out to be $62k annually in a W2 context. The recruiter agreed and then asked again if I knew anyone who might be interested.
