Got an interview request on a Monday. Scheduled the interview via the scheduling link to be on Thursday. It was supposed to be a Google Meet. I got an email 15 minutes before the interview was supposed to happen saying the scope of the role changed in terms of which team it would be supporting. Why I was only being told this 15 minutes before is beyond me. The email also asked if I still wanted to talk about the new scope or cancel. I said I would still like to talk about it. Nine minutes before the call, the recruiter responded again and asked if it was ok if she called instead of doing the Google Meet. I said that was fine, not thinking anything of it at the time. She called me and it turns out that she could not do Google Meet because the was AT THE AIRPORT with gate announcements blasting in the background. EvenUp allowed an interview to be scheduled via Google Meet when the recruiter was going to be at the airport. She could not answer questions about the role. She straight up told me she did not have my resume in front of her. Absolutely unprofessional. I got through to the hiring manager but did not end up moving on. The same recruiter sent me the rejection email with the incorrect name of the hiring manager and riddled with words running together and paragraphs running together. EvenUp should be thoroughly embarrassed to be conducting an interview process like this.
