Met with the hiring manager, went on to 3 more interviews which included one technical interview. The team seemed very nice and knowledgable. I was excited to join the team. A verbal offer was extended over the phone and then the recruiter ghosted me. I followed up multiple times until the recruiter picked up the phone and informed me that the offer was rescinded because I could not start soon enough (it would have been nice to have heard from them directly when that decision was made). I tried to negotiate which was met with weeks of silence from the recruiter. Finally, weeks later the recruiter reached out again asking if I was still wanted the job. I did not. Extremely unprofessional.
