Phone interview, into an in-person interview, then had lunch with the team. It was pretty intimidating sitting in an interview eating lunch with 7 people peppering you with questions. I had a great time, and I thought I did very well. What was really interesting is that one of the guys who was interviewing me and asking repeated questions turned out to be a the internal hire that took the role I was there for. I've never been interviewed by someone who is gunning for the same position as me... Not sure I think that's a good (or fair) business practice.
I got really excited when they sent me an email, and I responded with a typo. I think this might have been the reason I didn't get the position, which is pretty strange if you ask me. But I understand that's a concerning sign. I just would never disqualify someone based on a simple mistake.
