I met with a recruiter, then the hiring manager, and then a regional marketing director. The role was within one of their product teams, but had potential to grow beyond it.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Everpure
Interview
Recruiter screen then hiring manager interview. Followed by a half day of interviews with the 4 people and final interview. The Hiring Manager was very nice and he got me excited about the company and the possiblility of working with him. However, I felt "beaten up upon" by the following interviewers, especially the VP. I spent a half a day in interviews with the team, then had to reach out for the recruiter twice for a status udate. After spending all that time, I should not have to do that, she should be in touch with me. The job was offered to someone else who apparently declined. The recruiter never reached out to me to see if I was still interested, even though I was repeatedly told "the team really liked you". I received a different job offer, which I accepted and it worked out better for me. A more valuable use of my time as a candidate would be to have the interviews separately and on separate days. This way, if Interviewer 2 of 5 passed on me, then I will not spend anymore of my time with interviews that are all for naught. With the one day setup, interviewer 2 could give me the thumbs down (meaning I am out of the running) but I still have to proceed with interviews 3, 4, and 5. Not the most productiive use of my time or interviewers 3, 4, and 5. I also think they have unrealistic expecations for the role, and aside from the hiring manager, did not think this was a team I would want to be working with.
