I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Everpure in Aug 2017

Firstly did a 12-question online assessment. All multiple choice or space question. This company focuses on a lot of multi-thread and bottom level knowledge. After that got a telephone interview.

Question 1
They gave two function API, register() and event_fire(). register is used for register callbacks, e.g. register(cb1),and event_fire() is like a trigger, once the event_fire() is called all registered callbacks will be executed. And they ask you to give a solution to make this process correct.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Everpure (New York, NY)
Interview
They found me on HackerRank (the jobs site where candidates do coding exercises before profiles get approved). The recruiter was very nice, but asked me to apply to a "systems" type job that I was clearly not qualified for as a web developer, so I told the recruiter that I would be more suited toward a full-stack position, which I was allowed to move forward with. It seems like instead of reading my resume, they just made me take another quiz on HackerRank that tested skills in languages that I never claimed to be good at.

Question 1
Very tricky questions with questionable relevance to the position with an absurdly short time limit.
