I had applied online for a technical project manager role at Pure Storage. The recruiter reached out to me and directly set the first round with one of the people on the team. When I spoke to this person I felt he seemed very lifeless and lacked enthusiasm and passion about the work. I felt that the interview process is very broken in which I did not have any conversations with the hiring manager. I was then called onsite for a 2.5 hour interview. While the interview questions were thought provoking and challenging, I did not get a good feeling about the interviewers. I felt like each person had a different perspective about the role and that the interviewers were very ARROGANT and felt like they were superior to the rest of the world because they work at Pure. While the people I spoke to were indeed very smart, I did not like the air of superiority they demonstrated. Also, having no interaction with the hiring manager felt like a broken process.
