I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Everpure (Orem, UT) in Nov 2018
Interview
The process began with my response to a job board posting. Within days, I received an email inquiring about my availability for a video interview with the company's corporate recruiter.
After a successful chat with the corporate recruiter, I received an email request to block out 3 hours for 6 successive half-hour video interviews. Unfortunately, Pure Storage could not arrange to schedule for the 6 individuals. Cancellations and rescheduling occurred for 3 days. Pure Storage finally pulled the plug on the marathon interview session and arranged a 1:1 with one Director.
For the sake of efficiency, the 1:1 meeting was a good idea. However, the caveat was that too much weight was placed with this individual's opinion. His line of questioning implied that the SDM role that was posted was not in sync to what he was describing or anything close to what I understood the role to be. This disconnect went south in quick order. It appeared, at least from the perspective of this interviewer, that the SDM role that Pure Storage had in mind was strictly an interface between the client, the client account and the "escalation" teams. Managed services or service delivery apparently was not topical for this discussion. Needless to say, my journey ended with this interview!

Question 1
Corporate interview questions: Many basic questions about storage. If you have any of such knowledge, you'll do fine.
Solo interview with the Escalation Director: He's largely into the process of problem & incident management. Specifically, what he wants is a live example of a workplace process that you executed with your client.
