I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Everpure (Austin, TX) in Jan 2020
Interview
The recruiting team was very attentive and were in constant contact.
The first interview was part behavioral and part coding. It was for a Max Stack. Looks like it all went well.
As I was in Austin, they had some confusion and told me that they want me to take another phone screen before brining me to CA.
They scheduled a second interview and it too was part behavioral and part technical.
The interviewer asked me to write some code for an event driven system. We discussed through the code and some synchronization items were discussed including locking and dead locks.
After this, they told they didn’t want to move with me.
My sincere suggestion to this firm: hire a good engineer and promote her or him to the role of a manager.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Everpure (Prague)
Interview
Usually I don’t put comments and reviews, but I feel that my experience could save someone lots of time. The interview in Pure was very long for the local standards. They will brag a lot about how cool they are and so on. The reality seems to be a little different. The managers will ask you the same questions, or will use you for junior managers to practice their question asking skills. After 4+ interviews, they will ghost you for a while too. Shows the level of professionalism of their HRs. There were technical, algorithm interviews and one few interviews based on your experience and how it matches the role. I am not sure how much having many interviews ensures you attract the right people, but my suggestion is to stay away from such tedious process as much as possible. It felt like they were doing research on the job situation in Prague rather than actually recruiting for people.
