I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Everpure in Sep 2022
Interview
I passed the online round and had two further video interviews on Hacker rank. The challenges in online round are very easy while the questions are much more difficult. Challenges in video interviews are average. Overall very friendly recruiters and interviewers. They didn't try to stress you out and were helpful with hints if needed. Asking questions is very important during technical interviews. It was not the only interview I have done for a tech company this year so I could compare: - Pure Storage didn't care about my past projects or experience at all. I understood it very quickly after first video interview. Interviewer didn't ask any questions about my experience at all. The whole time is allotted for solving a challenge with very little time for self presentation. - Interviewer admitted to not reading my CV - Interviewer had a shockingly rude about section on their LinkedIn profile I have never seen before. I was surprised they were allowed to interview candidates with a profile like that. They turned out to be very friendly on interview, but it certainly left very negative impression. The interview process fails to assess candidates on topics where experience matters like software design and architecture. It focuses on topics suitable for fresh university graduates. I was surprised there were no soft skills questions. I decided to terminate the interview process as I wasn't completely satisfied with the position, interview and tech stack. I would highly recommend solving ~20 challenges on Hacker rank as a warm up prior to the interview. Despite my not that great experience I would still recommend the company to applicants and I would even apply again should a more suitable position be opened.
I applied online. I interviewed at Everpure (Prague) in Apr 2025
Interview
- I applied for a Principal position in Flasharray division. I had a screening call with recruiter that went well. I wanted to discuss a few technical details that recruiter wouldn't be able to answer, to make sure we have a decent technical match before proceeding to the standard interview loop where the round with manager comes last which is too late. Loop interviewers come from various divisions and lack knowledge to answer questions. I didn't want to waste anyone's time.
- I asked the recruiter for an extra quick round with the hiring manager or any manager I would be working with. I was available basically on any day and hour. There was silence for one week, then recruiter called me, trying to get me into the standard loop. I explained the reasons for requesting an extra round to save everyone's time. My LinkedIn profile was viewed by one of the managers. There was silence for two weeks followed by a rejection. Due to the circumstances, I presume the hiring manager denied the request for an extra round.
- The company turned out to be unwilling to schedule an extra technical screening round and I found the way it was done rude. They could have replied they simply don't do that, but they opted for ghosting me.
- It is common for companies to have the 1st interview after screening with the hiring manager to determine applicant's suitability for the role. Everpure doesn't have much respect for candidates or their own interviewers who end up wasting time. Sounds like a very rigid/arrogant company.
