Shortly after applying, received phone screen from recruiter. After hearing nothing else for two months, was contacted to have interview with hiring manager within a week. After the phone interview, I was asked to go to the Arlington Office to meet with 4 other interviewers and told to be ready for behavioral interview questions (of which only 1 was asked by 4 interviewers). 2 interviewers were on site and 2 were via conference call, including the hiring manager. The first interviewer was actually interviewing me for a different position that I didn't even know about or was able to prepare for in another department. The next two were for the job I had applied for and seemed to go very well, including the hiring manager. The last interviewer was the VP over the whole department. That one did not go well. She came in late, with her lunch in her purse, asked me to tell her about myself and during the entire process was texting on her phone. This went on during the interview and I felt like she was completely distracted and not listening. She asked ME if this was a VA based or a remote position I was interviewing for(because she didn't know). Then asked me for one example of an implementation I had done, how I would work in a matrix organization, and then excused herself to get ready for her next meeting she was going to be late for. Overall, it was apparent she either already made up her mind or could care less that I was there for a face-to-face or what my credentials were. Incredibly disappointing for someone at that level to conduct an interview like that. Overall, the entire recruiting process does not bode well for a first interaction with the company. It is broken in many ways.
