3 rounds - the first of which is rather-surface level with a recruiter. Round two was about an hour with the Director of Owner Growth, and included a 10-minute mock sales call. Round three definitely feels the most like an interview and consisted of a meeting with two sales managers.

The screening call I had went great. The recruiter was very enthusiastic and personable. The final round of interviewing was extremely disappointing. In the final round, you start by talking 15 minutes with a Sr. Sales Rep, then two sales team managers hop on to ask some fairly difficult questions. Lastly, you do a mock sales call and email follow-up during the last 15-20 minutes. My issue was with the two managers that interviewed me for 45 minutes. They were both very smug, uninterested, and acted as if it was an inconvenience for them to have to interview me. I got absolutely 0 feedback on my answers. The only thing I can think of that made me unappealing to them is that I haven't done sales for a SaaS company. Although, I have 5 years of experience in SaaS in roles such as Account Management and Customer Success. I also worked a retail sales job prior to the SaaS world. I thought, "surely they'll see I have the skillset to build on and become a great sales rep". It appears they thought differently. My advice to those two gentlemen would be: 1. Act like you actually care and you want to be present in the interview. 2. Don't write someone off because they haven't lived in your exact sales world. 3. Give feedback on answers and ask more unique questions than, "What do you think makes a successful sales rep?". There are much better questions out there to get to know someone and how they operate within the position.
