The recruiter was 5 minutes late and was not prepared with any questions, nor had she read my resume. To her credit, she did admit this. I have many years of experience business partnering, yet she talked through the role as if the expectations of the role were brand new to me. She was very bland, never smiled, and didn't speak energetically about the role, the People team, or the company. I pulled myself out of the running for the role after the call. That first impression is so important in order to attract the right candidates and provide them with a good candidate experience, so I felt it might be important for the business to have this feedback.
