I recently interviewed for a Senior Director position with Evolve, and my experience highlighted some areas for improvement in the interview process.
The call quality was poor, with significant background noise, which made it challenging to communicate effectively. The recruiter seemed disconnected, unfocused, and as if they were simply going through the motions. It felt as though they were following a strict checklist of questions without fully understanding my responses or engaging in open dialogue. Often, their follow-ups were limited to “yes” or “no,” which made the process feel more transactional than conversational. Given Evolve’s commitment to human-centered values, this was unexpected and disappointing.
While I understand Evolve may seek candidates with specific experience, a more balanced approach in assessing a candidate’s overall background and career milestones would align better with the company’s mission. The recruitment experience should reflect the same core values Evolve promotes to its team and customers.
Advice to Management:
Consider enhancing the interview process by fostering open, engaging dialogue and ensuring recruiters are fully present in the conversation. Moving away from a rigid checklist and addressing technical issues during calls would create a more positive and authentic candidate experience that truly embodies Evolve’s values.
