Shenanigans! Very similar experience to others on this platform. Was contacted by an internal recruiter who asked scripted questions and provided an overview of the role and company. I was then contacted a couple days later to schedule a Zoom interview with the hiring authority. The hiring authority was extremely underdressed (baseball cap and T-shirt). I thought I was speaking to someone on the street who just exited the subway station. Nevertheless, I was moved on to an additional Zoom video interview with HR followed by two more panel interviews the following week. Everything went well and I was asked to complete an online application. A few days after completing the online application I revisited the job posting and quickly understood the company lowered the salary range by $35k!
I have never seen an "approved" job requisition altered in this manner after being publicly posted to the internet. Talk about shenanigans! Of course, they disappeared and 2 weeks later I received a call from the internal recruiter with the typical generic feedback of "overall everything was positive but we decided to move forward with other candidates" jargon. I let him know when I did not hear from them after two weeks I pretty much figured as such.
Upon reflection, it was a blessing in disguise and I dodged a bullet as others have mentioned. Their 24% Glassdoor rating is not exactly positive.
