Recruiter reached out to me, has about a 25 minute conversation about role itself and my background. She wasn't very knowledgeable about my resume, and even after explaining it was almost as if she had no interest in what I had to say. She mentioned doing a few tests to move to the next round, and sent me a link to complete by a certain time frame. This test ended up being long division math and deductive reasoning. Now being that I held this position and much higher previously at their largest competitors, I assumed it would be a walk in the park. Once I did the tests, they were absolutely horrible and in no way could relate to the day to day functions of a CS Manager, to top that off, I was told I didn't meet the requirements to past (truly a shocker) and that they would not move forward. At this day in age when you find a good fit, they interview well, and maybe on paper their deductive reasoning skills from 5th grade don't seem up to par then you continue the conversation with over 10 yrs of experience and a great fit personality and skill wise. They lost me at that decision, it's embarrassing that you can be judged based on something you will never use in your day to day job functions. They need a new process in the EU where I interviewed.
