Interview
I was an internal transfer, so I looked on the internal job listing and found the Systems Analyst position to be something that I wanted to pursue. I contacted my boss, at the time, and let her know that I was interested in the new opportunity outside of the department. I then submitted my resume and cover letter. Soon after, I was contacted for a very informal session with the senior manager. A few days later, I interviewed with two pairs of people in management positions on the new team. The first round was mostly focused on behavioral and character focused questions. The second round was mostly logical/technical. After that, I was offered the position.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
None of the questions were very difficult, but the most difficult behavioral one that was asked was probably: "How do you handle stress?"
The most difficult technical question dealt with deciphering how data was being pulled from several databases and how it was being used in the sample logic map.

Interview
In short, the interview process was long and unaccommodating. I actually had 2 interviews with the company for 2 different roles. I progressed to different stages in the process of interviewing for each role. This company culture is rigid, and old-fashioned. I had a condition at the time that made it difficult for me to take an assessment. The need to take the assessment was not communicated to me prior to getting on the phone interview and was relayed on the spot while on the call. I explained to my interviewer that I would like to reschedule the assessment for another time and they insisted that I perform it now and then. If you have an alternative, look elsewhere. I don't know how can they continue to find talent in this market. Their pay is also lower than market value. No thank you. They need to evolve or I expect they will be facing serious issues recruiting in the future.
