I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Exploratorium (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2014
Interview
I first had a phone interview, followed by a group interview with the department director and several prospective coworkers, including the position incumbent. Although the panel's questions were challenging, I felt very comfortable and at ease—maybe too comfortable. Some questions were standardized, but much of the interview was natural and conversational. They chose to move forward with a different candidate, which worked out okay, as the position wasn't a total match for my goals.

Interview
I received an invitation for a phone interview within a week of submitting my application. The phone interview primarily consisted of behavioral questions, like the classic "what is your biggest weakness?" or "describe a time when you failed" or " what does success look like to you?"
Though the interviewer was really nice, I never heard back. Even after checking in a few times, the interviewer ghosted me.
