Interview
Two managers attended a job fair held at my university. I wore a nice blouse and white pants for a good impression, and I'm glad I did because the managers practically interviewed me right there! I filled out a paper application and received a call the next day for an interview. I looked at Express' online store to see what clothes would be more appealing to wear, and considering I didn't have much professional stuff, I wore a nice white blouse with some dark skinny jeans and flats (in retail, they care more about whether you'll represent the brand well). It was a group interview with 7 others that was supposed to last only 30 minutes. The assistant manager first went around the group and asked for job experience. He then pointed at each person to ask a specific question, sometimes the same as the last. The experience was much easier and less nerve wracking than I thought it would be because of how easygoing and funny the manager acted with us. I practiced some of the questions from some of these older posts, kept attentive eye contact with everyone there, smiled and nodded a lot, and sat up straight while answering with confidence.

Applied online, interviewed in person the next day. Interview was basically a vibe check. More important to apply during peak season (early spring or early fall) when they're hiring the most. Make sure you have availability on the weekend.
Easy and straight forward interview. They ask for your availability and if have fashion experience. Also, asks about previous sales and customer service experience. The job itself is not hard at all.
