2019. Senior position (10-15+ yrs exp. required) for non-engineering contractor role supporting capital projects. Phone call from recruiter and brief screening conversation, maybe 20-30 minutes. ~1 week later, call from two ExxonMobil managers for a 45 minute screening call. Job description was discussed, along with my background and relevant work history. I received a call from the recruiter a few days later saying that EM would like a face-to-face interview. At the in-person interview, it was largely an opportunity for me to ask questions and for the EM folks to make sure I was a good "fit" from a team/ personality/ likability standpoint. Was told I would hear back about a final decision in 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later I received a call from EM with a job offer for the contract position. Probably about 1 month from start to finish. Very relaxed and efficient process.
