Interview
This was a phone interview with the recruiter. It really wasn't an interview, but more of an introduction call. The recruiter said they were early in the recruiting process and wanted to confirm my interest in the role. It was quick call, like 15-20 minutes. After the call, I waited to hear back from them. I've worked in Recruiting, so I know you can't expect a reply immediately. I figured that after a week and talking with the hiring manager that I would have a sense if I was being considered. All I got was silence. I sent a nice follow-up email, but still heard nothing. After a month of silence, I realized that I would not be considered even though the application is still In Progress on their career site. An email with a status update would be nice even if it's just a Thanks, but no Thanks message. Very poor communication from the recruiting team on this.
