My first screening meeting was with the COO. HR had organised the meeting with me the day before the interview stating that it would be a phone interview. On the day of the screening interview, the COO did not call me at the scheduled time. I waited ten minutes and finally I received a call from her. She asked why I did not join the MS Teams meeting yet. I was thrown off because HR confirmed that this would be a phone screening. When I told the COO this, she instantly said that HR will send me a meeting invitation. In a couple of minutes, I received the invitation. Then 3 people from HR called me to confirm. The COO apologised for this, but I thought that the entire experience could have been avoided if HR had done their job properly. This was a negative interview experience on my side.
