I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FHI 360 (Durham, NC) in Sep 2015
Interview
After a phone interview/screening, which was very laid back and casual, I was scheduled for the in-person interview. The in-person interview process itself was long. The entire in-person process lasted about 3hours. It wasn't difficult. It was just long. I was exhausted when I left the building. I applied for the position online, and it took less than a week to get a call. They really needed the position filled, and about 4 or 5 others interviewed for it too, which I discovered later.
I interviewed with the director of the department, three research associates, and a senior research associate/project coordinator in two separate one-on-one interviews, and then a three-person panel interview. Afterwards, I took a written assessment test on MS Office how-to's. The test also had situational questions.
