I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FIS (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Applied online, got the response within 1-2 weeks to complete two surveys for two positions, then received invitation for an interview for one position only (project manager II).
I have absolutely know idea why I was turned down. She asked (Carol Duncan) simple questions about my background. The interview took 10 minutes.
I had worked as a project manager in financial businesses including banking. I have on my resume everything they needed and more, education-wise and experience-wise.
The next day they send this message:
"After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for this position." Whatever that means.
If my experience and education are matching well, what else she didn't like so much that she didn't even let me do one face-to-face interview after 'careful consideration' same day??
Just like many other large companies, they make it appear being "a good place to work" in ratings, but in reality it's not quite a place for everyone, is it?
Since there is no explanation to why they turned me down, I guess the advice is to ensure you know how to get though the subjectivity of a first level interviewer.
Recruiter very helpful. Applied over the weekend, recruiter contctacted me monday morning, hiring manager interview following week. After that it was just a waiting game. Overall a positive experience experience
Initial phone screen with the recruiter, followed by an in-person interview with the hiring manager + a few 1:1s with the team. I highly prefer when I'm able to speak with the team as well, whether virtually or onsite. I didn't receive a tour but it's a very secure building so I think they save that for day 1.

Question 1
What do you know about FIS/why are you interested in Fintech?
Even for a large firm, the interview process at FIS Global was woeful. Comprised of 4 rounds: screening by talent acquisition, then hiring manager, meeting with peers and finally senior manager. Went well but then completely ghosted by both hiring manager and talent acquisition. Incredibly unprofessional.
