I applied via LinkedIn, had the first screening call with HR. Then interview with hiring manager, second interview with team member, third interview with CEO and I was assigned a task by the hiring manager.
It never happened to me before, the hiring manager me on a Saturday to inform me about the task, called me on my mobile with no notice to share initial feedback (and enthusiasm) and introduce me the next steps of the process.
I am everything but formal, however I found it a bit "aggressive" (although positive) as I think, in general, you should ask for availability before contacting someone.
Another thing I didn't like was that the CEO joined the meeting via zoom and recorded it without asking for permission. Also, the fact that the meeting was going to be recorded was not communicated whatsoever.
And finally, I have completed the interview process 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for any sort of feedback. I emailed the hiring manager 3 times and got no answers. Basically ghosted after I spent 4 hours interviewing with them and the time to complete the task assigned.
I felt disrespected on several occasions.
Clearly a modus operandi and company culture I would never fit.
