7 interviews in one month with the director, team leader and team members, 2 case studies based on real problems the company is currently facing. One case is based on data analysis and the other on workflow and how to improve it. This is followed by a presentation. Two interviews had to be rescheduled once they had already started, due to "lack of time" or unexpected meetings. This postponement of meetings will continue throughout the selection process.
Finally, I had a video call (as usual, several times postponed) in which I was informed that they had decided not to go ahead with any of the candidates. One of the arguments was related to the budget, as it has been "reduced", so despite this inconvenience, they will try to find a person with "more" experience than the current team leader in the Customer Operations Insights area, but still at a lower salary than the previous one, which was already commented in the first interviews that it was below the market average, unfortunately, a specific range was never mentioned.
I appreciate that at least this was said "face to face" and not in a standard email. However, as an HR software company, they should have a clear recruitment process and objectives. The feeling is that they don't have a clear path, they simply improvise and waste time and opportunities on both sides, apart from the free work of the candidates.
Lack of professionalism and empathy.
