Had a call with the recruiter on a Thursday. It went well and she informed me that the hiring manager was OOO on Friday so I should hear about next steps early next week. I sent a follow up email after the interview, the recruiter responded and reiterated I would hear back soon, and then was completely ghosted by the recruiter, the hiring manager, and the company as a whole. During the initial interview call, the recruiter mentioned that I would need to start the role by a specific date, which would not allow for 2 weeks notice at my current job, and I confirmed I could make that work on my end. Very rude and inconsiderate to then proceed to completely ghost me. If you don't want to proceed with a candidate, be kind enough to let them know.
