      Training Coordinator Interview

      Feb 11, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Denver, CO
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fast Enterprises (Denver, CO) in Aug 2019

      Interview

Applied online in August after seeing the company on a Best Places to Work site. I was contacted by a Recruiter via email within a few days requesting a copy of my transcript (I am currently in undergrad). Two days later, they emailed me again to set up a phone interview. The phone interview with the Recruiter took about 30 minutes. The goal of this interview was to gain an understanding of my qualifications and interests, gauge my knowledge of FAST, and align on salary expectations. I found it a little odd for the salary question to come so early on, but giving a broad range ended up being an effective strategy. I was contacted later that week to setup another 30 minute phone interview, this time with a Training Manager. The goal of this interview was to understand my work-style through behavioral questions, walk through my resume and explain prior experience in training, and align on my passion for the field. Early next week (~4 days later), I was invited to fly down to their Denver for final-round, in-person interviews. FAST has Travel Coordinators that are responsible for arranging all travel logistics. This includes arranging your flights, hotels, chauffeurs, etc., and even provide you with a branded .PDF with everything you need to know a week before you interview. FAST pays for everything, and makes the entire process as smooth as possible. The final-round interview for this role includes: 1. A brief (10 - 15 minute) tour of the office 2. Mensa IQ test (30 question, 30 minute) 3. Behavioral questions and general conversation with Training Coordinator (~1 hour) 4. Brain Teasers / Problem solving puzzles (30 minutes) 5. Training the Interviewer (5 minutes to prepare, 5 minutes to present) 6. Lunch (~1 hour with 3 Senior team members and other interviewees) I received an offer the following week, and promptly accepted (who wouldn't?). The Recruiters, Travel Coordinators, and other FASTies made this entire process seamless. FAST has an interview process that other organizations should aspire to. The only feedback I have to offer FAST is to leave the salary question until later in the process when candidates better understand the role.
