Question 1
A recruiter reached out to me to set up a video call. We agreed on time and I was left waiting in the empty video room. No one showed up. I got an email the next day how they had an emergency company meeting and if I wanted to set up another date. I wouldn’t work for a company who has this little respect for candidates time. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Interview
I got an email from a Fastly recruiter less than a week after applying to the Contracts Manager role on their website. I had a Zoom call with the recruiter. Throughout the entire 30 minute call, she seemed to be bored and appeared to not be paying attention to me whatsoever; unsure how one effectively screens a potential candidate when they have the attention span of a five year old. She had no knowledge of the role nor the teams I’d be working with. I had questions but the recruiter couldn’t answer them. Nevertheless, I got an email today that they wouldn’t be moving forward with my candidacy. Well, no brainer there. More employers need to return to 2019 and remove clueless recruiters out of the candidate screening process altogether. Hiring managers should screen candidates period. Save yourself time - this is just another run-of-the-mill startup with nothing good to offer other than clueless millennials performing roles they’re not qualified for. Bullet dodged
