I went through the interview process for a Customer Success Manager position at Fastly, and it was quite an experience. The process was incredibly thorough, involving a total of six interviews over several weeks. Each stage was rigorous, with detailed discussions about my experience, skills, and fit for the role.
The final step was a presentation where I was asked to present a Quarterly Business Review (QBR), demonstrating how I would approach specific challenges within the role. I spent a significant amount of time preparing for this, as I was genuinely excited about the opportunity to contribute to Fastly.
However, despite being told I would hear back regardless of the outcome, I never received any follow-up. After completing such an intense and demanding process, this lack of communication was disappointing, to say the least. It felt like my time and effort were not valued, which left a negative impression on what was otherwise a promising experience.
Ultimately, I accepted an offer elsewhere, where the interview process was more respectful of my time and provided clear communication throughout.
