One good thing about a horrible phone screen/hiring process is that you are saved from joining a bad company.
I set up a time with the recruiting coordinator to speak to a recruiter and we had set a date that worked on both sides. The coordinator comes back to me saying that the phone screen needs to be pushed back. I thought it was odd since we had both agreed on a time, but things happen so I understood. We re-schedule and when it came time to speak, I talk to the coordinator for the screening! I had re-scheduled a time that worked for the recruiter and ended up talking to the coordinator instead...
I'm pretty frustrated at this point, but I roll with it and try to keep an open mind. As expected though, the coordinator did not know what she was doing and had no idea about the role or the team. I answer some of her simple and completely uninformed questions anyway. I get an email and surprise surprise, they won't be moving forward with me. I would never join this company even if they gave me an offer, but on what basis would you reject my application? This company clearly does not have it together. Stay away!
