Federal Realty Investment Trust interview questions

My interview included two rounds of phone calls with HR and management. I then flew into the city they are headquarted for the in person interviews with HR, management and upper management. Federal Realty was extremley flexible and accomodating during this interview process. They were always on schedule and we were able to arrange the calls at reasonable times so that it did not look suspicisous to my employer at the time. All of the interviews (both on the phone and in person) gave me a really great understanding on the company and the position. We were both very open in what we were looking for so it made the process easy. I have taken many interviews in the past with various companies and can say that Federal does a phenomenal job with the process. They are flexible, accomodating and transparent which is all a candidate can ask for.

Overall a good experience. Although a technical position they were primarily interested in my ability to learn new things, communicate and interact with different departments. There was an initial phone interview with HR. After passing the initial phone screen with HR, I was asked to come onsite for interviews with the IT department. I was asked to come onsite a second time to speak with members of the management team, including heads of non IT departments. Shortly thereafter I received an offer, in-person at lunch from my soon-to-be boss. Making the offer at lunch was a really nice, personal touch which I was not expecting. After some negotiation I accepted.
