I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Boston, MA) in Nov 2015
Interview
1st round short and simple. 2nd round involves test. Good people and great start to a career if interested in asset management. Very competitive but not required to be a business student. They recruit from many different schools but focus on top-tier schools.
Mainly behavior question + stock pitch, Brain teaser as well. several rounds including panel interview with Portfolio managers and analysts. Deep dive into valuation and financials. Need to prepare a decent stock pitch.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2024
Interview
Did a first round with HR. After the interview, I was told to be scheduled for the next round after working around PM’s schedule. Got ghosted and never heard back for a couple years.
The interview process was a panel review of an investment. Overall, I ended up getting the job, but I don't think they learned anything about my abilities to actually do the mundane job.
