Interview
The interview process was by far the best process I've ever experienced!
You are contacted by a recruiter for a phone screen. After, the hiring manager connects with you for a phone interview. If all goes well, you are invited for an onsite interview with the team & have lunch onsite to meet other people at the company (less formal & opportunity to show your authentic self). Last round is with the CEO who is humble & down to earth. This is more of a company culture & vales interview. Make sure to do your homework on the company & ask any questions you may have.
After my interview the recruiter told me when the team will sync and they would get back to me right after. Very straight forward interview. No mind games, no ghosting, no stringing candidates along.
**Tip**- don't be boring. Be excited & interested about the product. Do your homework on your interview panel and ask good questions! Don't ask basic generic questions that you googled the night before, personalize them for each interviewer. Show that confident (not cocky) personality. Authenticity is key!

Question 1
What do you know about Figma? Have you used Figma before? Why Figma?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Figma in Jan 2026
Interview
I was reached out to by a talent sourcer on their team via LinkedIn and I scheduled a recruiter phone screen within the same day. Less than 24 hours before the scheduled call, the sourcer said she wasn't feeling well and needed to reschedule.
When the day of the interview arrived, I waited 5 minutes on the Zoom call, but she did not log on. I reached out via LinkedIn and email, asking if she was still interested, but received no response.
Why would you reach out to someone and then not follow through with an initial call? I wasted time booking two different interviews and conducted extensive research on Figma and its competitors.
Contacted to schedule a first round. Submitted availability, then rejected three days later. Please don’t reach out to candidates for a call unless you are going to keep your word and keep the call.

Interview
I had one phone screen for the Recruiter role - the Recruiting Manager who screened me took over a week to follow up, and I had to reach out to get a response to which I was told they were moving forward with other candidates. I thought the interview had gone well so I asked for feedback and was met with silence. Upon reading other reviews of interviews at Figma, it seems common practice for this segment of the recruiting team to not follow up with candidates. I wouldn't normally post feedback like this, but my colleague had the same experience with the same Recruiter. I would recommend recalibrating your follow-up, especially with fellow talent acquisition professionals as it isn't a great impression of your company.
