I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Figma (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
It is a long process, and you're expected to put a lot of time into it. I did 3 phone calls and 2 on-sites, one of which was a full Figma demo and presentation.
Everything was fine and everyone was friendly, the point of frustration was that I was told than if I got to the demo/presentation the job was "basically mine" and something would have to go very wrong to lose it. They gave me a very detailed criteria on what to present, one of which was for there to be only 3 slides. During my presentation I was interrupted with "Do you only have 3 slides?" When I said yes I felt the entire atmosphere dampen and as though I'd really screwed up. I don't think they knew that the criteria had asked for this and even said afterwards they wish I had more slides.
I waited a while to hear if I got the job, and finally after emailing and asking if there were any updates I received a rushed and pretty sloppy denial email that informed me "we unfortunately decided not to go forward" with no reason why other than "other candidates were stronger". This is fine, only I felt like I was owed more of an explanation as the recruiter had told me they weren't speaking with many others and she had a strong feeling I'd get the job.
I put 4 weeks of hard work into the interview process and was told throughout it was looking great so receiving a badly written, vague email and having clearly upset those interviewing me by following the exact steps I was given for the my presentation - I felt a little like I had wasted my time. But they are all extremely pleasant and nice people and overall the process was fairly enjoyable.
-very smooth process but there are 5 rounds of interviews
- standard: recruiter, hiring manager, team, presentation, final interview
- only made it onto the second round
- they said they're looking for someone who is intellectually curious

In der Zwischenzeit immer wieder Abstimmungen mit HR, was sehr hilfreich war. Guter Ablauf, anspruchsvolle Tasks, aber machbar.
Mehrstufiger Prozess.
Wurde sehr klar besprochen, was in welcher Stufe erwartet wird.
Demo am zum Ende des Prozesses wurde gut von Firmen Seite betreut.
Leider habe ich am Ende kein Angebot bekommen.
