I had to chase down the HR rep who initially reached out to me to get him to set up the promised interview with the hiring manager. When I had my interview, it was a cautionary tale for any creative considering a role with Finance of America. I was told they are "quintupling down" on using AI and how it's being used to drive creative, compliance, etc. So, to repeat: If you're a creative of any kind, prepare to be nothing more than a drone working for a program. Even more disturbing was the hiring manager saying, "We have a very young team - but that doesn't mean we're not looking for seasoned professionals like you." The look on his face after the words came out said, “Ummm…shouldn’t have said that.” So, if you're "of a certain age" it's evident you're not wanted. This was silently expressed when I wrote the HR rep to get the hiring manager's email address to send along samples - has the rep contacted you? Me neither.
