I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Finish Line (Sunrise, FL) in Jun 2011
Interview
I attended 2 interviews, the first with a group of 8 or so and was asked a few questions about my previous work experience. Good to know about the history of the company itself for any surprise questions and be prepared for any possible mock sales on the spot (I had to sell a pen to my boss). Dress to impress; I was told after being hired that wearing a dress shirt, pants and tie was a big part in separating me from the other potential employees during my first interview. The second interview consisted of only 3 people including myself, where we all needed to sell a more practical item, (I had to sell a new Kevin Durant backpack). After the last interview and passing a drug test I received a call and was told I had gotten the job.
Standard entry level customer service industry questions. Hired on the spot. Quick process one on with the manager. Got a tour of the store right after. Reviewed resume with manager and went over work history
The interview process typically includes an initial phone screening, followed by one or more interviews with team members or managers, assessing skills, experience, and cultural fit, with potential for final-round evaluations.
interview was very straightforward. some easy questions, some tough questions. there were lots of scenario questions that i loved answering. i am very eager to hear back for my second interview
