I applied online. I interviewed at Finyard in Feb 2024
Interview
It was a screening interview. Position for remote or on-site. First, we discussed my experience, then some technical questions. Overall the process should have been as follows -> screening -> big technical interview -> interview with the head of department. Around 2 weeks time. Got rejected after the screening interview either because I asked too much or got lost a bit with the technical questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1) Related to window and aggregate functions in SQL. Whether you can have both a window and an aggregate function in one query
2) The order of SELECT FROM GROUP BY WHERE etc. in SQL query
3) how do you do A/B test and what test you use for that
4) Whether you can calculate confidence intervals for averages of non-normal distributions
The recruiter talked about the company, projects and benefits and then asked questions about work experience, expectations and several technical questions. If successful, the next stage is a technical interview for sql/python code.
