The process was fair at first. Everyone was friendly and genuinely interested in my background and skills. There were many behavioral, background, and some technical questions across 4 interviews. I did fairly well in the technical presentation, for the most part, and a week after that interview, I was told I to expect an offer the next day. Instead, I was ghosted and I had to call them a week later to let them know I had been given another offer, to which they responded they weren’t offering anything. They said I was being considered for another position instead but they haven’t answered any communication from me since. To me, it felt like they wanted me to feel like I was still being considered in case their first choice declined. It’s unfortunate, but the market is in their favor and they can afford to do that at the moment.
